Diana Butler Bass is an author, speaker, and scholar specializing in American spirituality and culture. She holds a Ph.D. in religious studies from Duke University and is the award-winning author of ten books, including the newly released, Grateful: The Transformative Power of Giving Thanks; Grounded: Finding God in the World—A Spiritual Revolution; and Christianity After Religion.

She regularly speaks at conferences, consults with religious organizations, leads educational events, and teaches in a variety of venues internationally. Her bylines include The Washington Post, The New York Times Syndicate, and The Huffington Post. She has commented widely on religion, politics, and culture in the media including USA TODAY, Time, Newsweek, CBS, CNN, FOX, PBS, NPR, Sirius XM, and CBC. 

Morning—Gratitude as Radical: How can gratitude make us more effective leaders? Find out how the often misunderstood practice of gratitude can radically change the way we see and interact with the world. If you would like to live a more confident, grounded and abundant life you will learn in this workshop the habits and practices of grateful leaders. 

Afternoon—Gratitude as Transformative:
 How can we use the practice of gratitude to change the world around us? In our afternoon workshop we will learn through historical accounts and modern social science how gratitude is the antidote to even the most powerful obstacle. Learn in community what it takes to make gratitude your own radical and transformative practice.
